Lake and Pond Treatment / Maintenance
Ponds are more than just backyard decorative addition. They have their own small biosphere with fully set aquatic life – both animal and plant – as well as a particular amount of its own environment. This doesn’t mean however, that they can be left alone without some maintenance. Pond maintenance is necessary for sustaining the life it contains, and the delicate balance that must exist in its environment.
Through extensive research activities, both BIO-SYSTEMS' BIOBUG® FS and Microbe Activated Barley Straw have been developed to include 14 strains of bacteria which have been selected for their ability to perform under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, and to biodegrade organic material comprised of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. BIOBUG® FS and Microbe Activated Barley Straw also contain a strain of lactobacillus that tends to lower pH levels.
BIO-SYSTEMS' BIOBUG® FS and Microbe Activated Barley Straw are biological products specially formulated to be effective in enhancing water biology in lagoons for raising fish and shrimp.
